FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What people usually ask before they call.

The program

What is an intensive outpatient program (IOP)?

IOP is structured mental health care that runs a few hours a day, several days a week, while you keep living at home. It sits between weekly therapy and a hospital stay: more support than an hour a week, without stepping away from your life.

Who is IOP for?

Adults 18 and over who need more support than a weekly session and can live at home during care.

Where and when

Can I attend online?

Yes, if you live in California. Online groups use a private video platform and follow the same schedule as our groups in Glendale.

I live outside California. Can you help?

Many people come to Glendale for a few weeks of focused care and stay nearby. Call us and our coordinator will talk through your options.

Cost

Will my insurance cover it?

Many PPO plans include out-of-network benefits that can cover IOP. Our coordinator checks your plan for free and tells you what to expect before you start.

Getting started

What happens after I send my details?

Our coordinator calls you back within 15 minutes, often sooner, day or night. The call takes about 15 minutes: we listen, check your insurance and explain the next steps. There is no obligation.

Is this an emergency service?

No. We are an outpatient program. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911.

Privacy

Is my information private?

Yes. Your answers stay in your browser until you ask us to call. Your details go only to our care team through a HIPAA-protected channel. We never share them with advertisers.
